Pacific Palisades Pacific Palisades lies North of Santa Monica and South of Malibu, with the Pacific Ocean and Will Rogers State Beach on its Southern boundary. The area currently has about 27,000 residents. It is an affluent and primarily residential area, with a mixture of large private homes, small (usually older) houses, condominiums, and apartments. It has a small central business district on Sunset Boulevard--consisting of restaurants, stores, banks, and offices--known as the "village." It also includes some large parklands and many hiking trails. Palisades Charter High School serves the neighborhood. It is known as "Where Sunset Meets the Sea." Pacific Palisades provides small town living within the city of Los Angeles. The residents work very hard to keep this small village atmosphere. Known as a ‘little diamond’ in Los Angeles, Pacific Palisades is where the famous Sunset Blvd. meets the ocean with a beautiful 3-mile stretch of sandy beaches and dramatic cliffs. Because of the exceptional lifestyle, the Palisades attracts many celebrities as well as the very affluent. Pacific Palisades is known to be one of the safest and best maintained areas on the Westside of Los Angeles.
